Requirements in respect of candidate-adoptive parents:

To be able to adopt according to their national legislation;
Not to be afflicted with serious chronic and infectious diseases, endangering their life;
Not to be or to have been divested of parental rights;
Not to be convicted;
To be married if they wish to adopt together;
To present all necessary documents, required according to the Bulgarian legislation.
